POLISH FILMS IN THE CAMERIMAGE COMPETITION PROGRAM
The program of this year's edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE festival has already been announced. The extremely rich selection includes several Polish documentaries.
EnergaCAMERIMAGE is the largest and most famous festival devoted to the art of cinematographers. Thanks to the festival, it was noticed that the cinematographer is a co-creator of the visual side of the film - he is an artist, just like the director and actors. EnergaCAMERIMAGE is also an excellent forum not only for presentations but also for discussions on the future of film art. By bringing together the circle of already awarded filmmakers and helping debutants and students, it allows them to discover new artistic areas.
In the international competition for feature-length documentaries, you will be able to see Maciej Cuske's "The Whale of Lorino", operated by Piotr Bernas, "Altered States of Consciousness" by Piotr Stasik, and the co-production of "Bitter Love" by Jerzy Śladkowski with cinematography by Wojciech Staroń.
In the short documentary competition, on the other hand, you will be able to see Paweł Chorzępa's "Sonny" with the director's photos. Among the shots for student etudes and short films, the cinematographers of Tadeusz Łysiak's “The Dresses”, David Bajerski's and Damian Kosowski's “Shabbat”, Michał Ciechomski's “Submission” and Adrzej Brzózka's "Hen" will be seeking the jury's attention.
This year's edition of the festival is planned from 14 to 21 November.
