"PLAY" AWARDED AT THE FESTIVAL IN LINZ

The film by Piotr Sułkowski was appreciated at an international festival once again this month. This time, "Play" won the best cinematography award.

The festival in Linz is one of the youngest major events on the festival map of Europe. Established in 2018, it immediately attracted the short film-makers from all over the world. In the main competition: the feature and animated film sections, as many as 107 projects competed with each other. "Play" was not the only Polish film, in addition to it, the jury evaluated: "It's Summer" by Filip Bojarski, "Game of Chicken" by Karina Hajdamowicz, "Loss" by Natalia Nylec, "A devil and a rascat" by Weronika Szyma, "Mud" by Alicja Błaszczyńska, "The Rain" by Milczarek. The film by Sułkowski received the award as the only one from the group representing Poland.

"Play" tells the story of a man consumed by the sense of guilt because he was not brave enough to defend his mother. He plays the role of her murderer and forces his ten-year-old self to confront the trauma.
