POLISH ANIMATED FILMS IN BRAZIL

This year's edition of the festival Anima Mundi starts in July. In less than a week, the local audience will have the opportunity to watch six Polish animated films.

The Anima Mundi - the International Animation Festival of Brazil is one of the most important animated film festivals in South America.  The first edition took place in 1963 in Rio de Janeiro. Since then, the event enjoys constant popularity, which contributed to the creation of the sister edition of the festival in 1997 in São Paulo.

For many years, the Anima Forum is held during the festival. It is a meeting place dedicated primarily to the professionals working with the animated film.

This year, foru Polish productions are invited to the competitions: "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska, "The Rain" by Piotr Milczarek, "Last Supper" by Piotr Dumała and "Colaholic" by Marcin Podolec. In turn, in the non-competing sections, you can watch "Squaring the Circle" by Karolina Specht and "You Are Overreacting" by Karina Paciorkowska.
