THE LAUREATES OF THE 54th KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL

54th edition of the Krakow Film Festival – which is one of the world’s oldest film festivals that screen documentary, short and animated films – came to an end last Saturday. Below we are listing all the laureates awarded for their short films.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION

Having seen all the competition films, the International Short Film Competition Jury consisting of: Wojciech Marczewski – Chairman (Poland), Giannalberto Bendazzi (Italy), Illia Gladshtein (Ukraine), Katrine Kiilgaard (Denmark), Cinzia Spironello (Italy) have decided to award the following prizes:

GOLDEN DRAGON for the Director of the Best Film – Jerzy Kucia, the director of FUGUE FOR CELLO, TRUMPET AND LANDSCAPE (Poland).

PRIX EFA 2014 for the Best European Film (nomination to the European Film Award in the short film category) for SUMMER 2014, directed by Wojciech Sobczyk (Poland).

NATIONAL COMPETITION


Having seen all the competition films, the National Competition Jury consisting of: Jerzy Śladkowski – Chairman, Filip Dzierżawski, Piotr Lenar, Irena Strzałkowska, Zbigniew Żmudzki have decided to award:

SILVER HOBBY-HORSE for the Director of the Best Animated Film – Piotr Dumała, the director of HIPPOS (Poland).

SILVER HOBBY-HORSE for the Director of the Best Fiction Film – Kacper Lisowski, the director of FATHER’S DAY (Poland).

SPECIAL MENTIONS:
Vahram Mkhitaryan for the film MILKY BROTHER (Poland)
Tomek Ducki for the film BATHS (Poland)

The Award of the Polish Filmmakers Association for the best film editing – Agnieszka Glińska, Wojciech Zamecznik, Adam Palenta for the film HOUSE ON ITS HEAD (dir. Adam Palenta)

The Award for the Best Short and Documentary Films Producer in Poland funded by the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber of Commerce (KIPA) – Joanna Szymańska and Wajda Studio for the film MILKY BROTHER.
