“LOST & FOUND” BY WIKTORIA KWOKA RECEIVES SPECIAL MENTION IN ITALY
“Lost & Found”, directed by Wiktoria Kwoka, received a Special Mention at the Ennesimo Film Festival in Fiorano Modenese, Italy. The festival also marked the film’s Italian premiere.
Ennesimo Film Festival as an event dedicated to promoting short cinema and fostering dialogue between filmmakers and audiences. For the past nine years, the festival has collaborated with Festivalfilosofia through the “Not the Ennesimo festivalfilosofia” project. The programme presents a selection of short films evaluated by an invited jury.
This year's edition, held on September 19, revolved around the theme of chaos, encouraging reflection on the unpredictability of human lives and the role of cinema in interpreting the contemporary world. The programme featured six short films from different countries, including “Lost & Found”. The jury, composed of Rocco Ronchi, Valeria Cristofaro, and Massimo Po, awarded the film a Special Mention.
“Lost & Found” tells the story of a teenage burglar who breaks into the home of an elderly man. To her surprise, she finds him in the middle of an attempt to take his own life. The man agreed to let her leave on one condition: that she helps him finish what he started.
