For five years, Oksana has been earning a living in Poland while her daughters remain in Ukraine under their grandmother’s care. Hoping to rebuild her relationship with them, Oksana decides to bring the girls to Poland. The shared journey puts the strength of their bond to the test. At the border, the situation spirals out of control when the family is detained due to missing documents for the canary, the younger daughter’s beloved pet. Faced with her mother’s helplessness, it is the older daughter who is forced to make the most difficult decision.
