The intention behind the people who created this animation is to open a space for discussion with children about what privilege is. Are we aware of our privileges? What do we conceive of when we don't handle something that comes easily to others? What to do when we see someone struggling with a challenge that is not a problem for us? The story of the beetles inspires the search for answers to these questions.

Piotr Chmielewski »
Piotr Chmielwski is an stop-motion animation autodidact who dedicated his knowledge and skills to raise social issues with visual materials. He does campaign animations for various non-governmental organizations and he makes his first steps as an art house film director. Animation called “Crab” is his debut and hopefully first part of film series that will show important historical events from animal perspective.
