They come to buy newspapers and cigarettes, boast, complain, or talk. An empathetic salesperson and the camera eye are the confidantes of their joy and dilemmas. Here is the mother with a teething baby, a women worried about her cat’s disease, an old man devoted to the Catholic radio, and many others. How many people stop at the kiosk window so many small and big human stories, funny and bitter ones. The film is composed of real faces and conversations, which will not leave a viewer indifferent.

Born in 1988 in Olkusz. Director, screenwriter, and producer. Daniel graduated from Krzysztof Kieślowki Film School in Katowice where he is currently a Ph.D. student. His short film ʺSkinny” was presented at many international festivals, among others Bogoshorts in Columbia, Camerimage in Poland, DokuFest in Kosovo. ʺThe Kiosk” is his documentary debut.
