POLISH TITLE: UTRATA

When you're facing a loss it makes you feel like the world has come to and end. Everything stops. There is only an emptiness. This is exactly what Piotrek, his mother and small brother has to overcome. Each of them in their own way. 18 years old Piotrek is trying to protect his younger brother from the damage that the loss has made in their life. Bereft Piotrek starting to loose his strength.

Natalia Nylec »

 A director and screenwriter from Upper Silesia. She is a graduate of the Gdynia Film School, the Documentary Filmmaking program at the University of Warsaw, and a scholarship holder at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. She is the author of numerous socially engaged documentaries produced for Polish Television. Her short film Loss (2019) was screened at many festivals in Poland and abroad. Her latest project, Fiber, was developed during the Linz ISFF Talent Academy workshops, where it was selected as the winning project.
