A Ukrainian village. A youth, Lev, lives with his mother, who runs a smallholding. He’s close to marrying Marianna, but deep inside him is a longing for something more, something which is opposed to happiness and love. He struggles to suppress it, choke it, neutralise it, but there comes a moment when an eruption turns out to be inevitable.

Born in the city of Cherkasy in Ukraine in 1985, Tymur Yashchenko is a graduate of the Law Education at the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy. He spent a year studying at the Kulturama performing arts school in Stockholm and is also a graduate of the Film and TV Direction Department at the Łódź Film School. Tymur lives and works in Warsaw.
