Małgorzata - an important politician - is going to her home at the lake. Her son - a drug addict - needs her help. Małgorzata is asking her daughter for her support. At home they find Małgorzatas semiconscious son and a massacred body of a young girl. In the face of the tragedy, their relationship gets complicated, disclosing their hidden grudges. The mother has to make the most difficult decision in her life.

Lukasz Ostalski was born in Gdańsk, Poland. Political Science graduate at Gdansk University, Social Science Faculty. WFH Sopot Schools' of Photography Student. Award winner of press photography contests. In 2013 he graduated from Directing Faculty at Gdynia School Film. "The Mother" - his diploma film - won awards and special mentions in many international film festivals. In 2015 he debuted with the feature length film “New World”, where he was responsible for directing the segment entitled “Wiera”. He also works as TV series director.
