Polish short cinema is looking to make a particularly strong presence at the upcoming edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. At the 48th edition of one of the world’s most important and prestigious events dedicated to short-form filmmaking, a total of eight Polish productions are going to be featured in the festival programme, appearing both in-competition and at key industry showcases.

The short film “Dad’s not home”, directed by Jan Saczek and produced at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, has been included on the prestigious shortlist for a nomination at the 98th Academy Awards in the category of Best Live Action Short Film. This marks another major international achievement for the production.

Marcin Kundera’s film "Clear Sky" has received a Special Mention in the Órbita competition at FIDBA – the International Documentary Film Festival of Buenos Aires. This year’s edition of the festival was held on 24-30 November.
