Carefree life of a 16-year-old Inga is broken off with the news of her mother’s fatal illness. From one day to the next Inga is left alone with two younger siblings. She has to run away from the welfare workers who want to place her in an emergency shelter for children. Inga wander with the kids from her boyfriend’s to her aunt’s. Like it or not, she becomes a mother for the kids. For the sacrifices she receives unusual recompense… FILM REPRESENTED BY THE KRAKOW FILM FOUNDATION
Bartek Konopka
Born in 1972 in Myślenice. He obtained degrees in Film Studies from the JagiellonianUniversity, Journalism from WarsawUniversity and Film Directing from the Radio and Television Department of the Silesia University in Katowice. He has made the following documentaries Niebo nad Europą (2003), Goat Walker (2004) and a fiction film entitled Three for the Taking (2006). His films have won awards at festivals in New York, Seattle, Brest, Wrocław and many others. He has received a nomination to Polityka’s Passport, an award of ‘Polityka’ weekly, and a scholarship of the Culture Minister for his artistic achievements as well as the Nipkow Scholarship in Berlin.
